Promoting Deaf Culture & Awareness in Bristol & the South West
The Situation
Bristol City Council are threatening to close Elmfield School and Youth Services in Centre for Deaf People. The Centre for Deaf Studies at Bristol University has been given a notice of closure.
This is a treble attack on the Deaf community and there could be many more Deaf organisations threatened.
The Solution
We need to get all Deaf and Hearing people together and fight this. I am hoping to organse a campaign around Council House and block the roads along Park Street to get the council to listen to us. Nottingham Deaf Community have done it, we need to do the same!
